OUR STORY
Hey there! We’re Danny, Marysa, and Elijah — the team behind Saltlight Films.What began as a passion for storytelling and filmmaking grew into something much deeper: a desire to use film to preserve moments that glorify God and celebrate the covenant of marriage. Marriage has deeply shaped each of our lives, and we believe it is one of God’s greatest gifts. Because of that, we don’t see weddings as just another event to capture. We see them as sacred, meaningful, and worth preserving with care and intention. Based in Kansas City and available wherever your story takes us, we approach every wedding with a desire to serve couples well, create timeless films, and reflect Christ in the way we work. Outside of filmmaking, we love good coffee, climbing, board games, meaningful time with family and friends, and most importantly, growing in our faith in Jesus Christ.

At Saltlight Films, we believe marriage is a sacred covenant created by God and that a wedding day should ultimately glorify Him. Our desire is to create wedding films that reflect Christ-centered joy, purity, reverence, and the beauty of biblical marriage.

Our Approach
In keeping with our Christian convictions, we choose to film weddings where the bridal party and overall wedding atmosphere reflect values of modesty and reverence.
This includes attire choices that reflect biblical modesty, including dresses that do not reveal any cleavage (there are exceptions to this please reach out) or accentuate the body, as well as music, dancing, and conduct that avoid vulgarity, sexual suggestiveness, drunkenness, or themes that glorify sin.
Our services are reserved for couples whose wedding vision aligns with these Christ-centered values and who desire a wedding day that honors the Lord. If you have any questions, we would be happy to connect with you.
